Best Anime 2010

The “Minna de Kimeru” anime ranking for the best series to air during summer 2010 yields a list with a number of unexpected (some would say strange) entries, though of course there are no prizes for guessing which anime grabbed the top spot.

The ranking, with the average scores each received:

1. K-ON!! (4.44)

2. Giant Killing (4.35)

3. Heart Catch Precure (4.32)

4. Occult Gakuin (4.15)

5. Kaichou wa Meido-sama!

6. Strike Witches 2 (4.01)

7. Highschool of the Dead (3.98)

8. Mitsudo Moe (3.98)

9. Sekirei – Pure Engagement (3.97)

10. Amagami SS (3.93)

Dengeki readers continue their dubious efforts at punditry by listing the most likely anime of the coming summer season, and what they fancy as the best of the passing spring.

Notably, the ranking reveals Angel Beats has unseated even K-ON!, possibly suggesting even the previously unassailable heights of moeblob anime may be under siege by anime daring to include actual plot.

The best of spring, with the ranking the title secured in the previous anticipation ranking in parentheses:

1. Angel Beats! (2)

2. K-ON!! (1)

3. Working!! (3)

5. Durarara!! (-)

6. Arakawa Under The Bridge (4)

7. The Tatami Galaxy (18)

8. Ichiban Ushiro no Dai-Maoh (17)

9. Mayoineko Overrun (5)

10. Kaicho wa Meido-sama (20)
